Directions to Mt. Vernon High School

8515 Old Mt. Vernon Road - Fairfax, VA 22309

Note on Parking: Each Fairfax County school has a number at the entrances. Please enter at the #6 entrance at Mt. Vernon High School. Also, please park in the unmarked lot leaving a space between the fence of about 20 feet. That is the fire lane and must be kept open.

Directions to Mt. Vernon from the South-coming up 95:
95 North to the U S 1 north exit. Stay on U S 1 for 5-6 miles through Ft. Belvoir. Take a right on to Mt. Vernon Memorial Highway (there is a horse farm on your right) Go 3 miles to the 3^rd light and turn left on Old Mt. Vernon Road. School is on your right ½ mile ahead. Gym is first entrance go behind school

Directions to Mt. Vernon from the North and West from the Washington Beltway: ***From Maryland coming across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge stay in right lane and take the exit as you leave the bridge. You want the Route 1 South, Ft. Belvoir exit. Take Route 1 about 6 miles until you see the Wal-Mart on your right. Next is the Multi-plex cinema you will take your next left on to Mt. Vernon Highway. Go ½ mile and the road will Y stay to the right the school will be on your left. Go to last entrance and around behind school to gym entrance.

***From west coming around Beltway from Maryland (270) or Virginia (66) take beltway east towards Alexandria to the Route 1 South Ft. Belvoir exit and follow the directions above. If you miss this exit you would go across the bridge into Maryland.
